What
IYforge is a built prototype that researches the problem space before generating a concept, then keeps that evidence with the resulting build package.
System facts
- Scouts multiple opportunity sources, then researches pain points for each shortlisted candidate.
- Four specialist roles evaluate fit, track record, bounty-stack potential and feasibility across a two-round debate.
- Ranks surviving candidates before concept generation and contains failures at provider, specialist and candidate boundaries.
- Concept selection keeps rejected alternatives, scores, verdicts and the reason each candidate won or lost.
- Selected opportunities produce PRD and architecture packages alongside retained research and debate evidence.
- The same pipeline can be used from the CLI, dashboard, MCP and HTTP surfaces.
- A later service layer exposes research, judging and strategy capabilities as separately callable services.
Boundary
- IYforge does not guarantee winning concepts, enter hackathons or build and submit projects automatically.
- External research and model routes can be unavailable; failures are surfaced or contained rather than hidden.
Why
Builder context and durable preferences feed into opportunity scoring so the same event can rank differently for different builders.
Evidence
- Build the initial IYforge opportunity swarmIntroduced the functioning scouting, builder context, specialist scoring, concept generation, delivery, memory and artifact pipeline. Private repository commit. GitHub access requires repository authorization.
- Add per-candidate research and GitHub profile contextAdded multi-source pain-point research, evidence retention and builder-specific GitHub profile enrichment to the selection pipeline. Private repository commit. GitHub access requires repository authorization.
- Consolidate competing concept packagesReworked concept generation and strategist selection around complete competing packages. Private repository commit. GitHub access requires repository authorization.
- Harden generic concept rejection and selection evidenceAdded complete-package checks, explicit selection records and persisted reasons for accepted and rejected concepts. Private repository commit. GitHub access requires repository authorization.
- Add the hireable service pathExposed judging, research and strategy capabilities through dedicated callable service paths. Private repository commit. GitHub access requires repository authorization.
- Persist paid service jobs across process restartsPersisted paid jobs, resumed confirmed work after restart and retained ambiguous settlement failures for reconciliation. Private repository commit. GitHub access requires repository authorization.
- Keep service startup safe when durable job storage is unavailableAdded a safe in-memory fallback when the configured job store cannot be opened. Private repository commit. GitHub access requires repository authorization.
Log
Made paid service jobs recoverable across restarts.
Hireable service jobs now persist after payment, resume confirmed work after a restart and keep ambiguous settlement failures available for reconciliation instead of losing the job record.
Turned parts of IYforge into hireable agent services.
Exposed research, judging and strategy capabilities as independently callable services instead of requiring the full end-user pipeline.
Stopped generic concepts from winning by default.
Concept generation moved toward complete competing packages with explicit scoring, rejection reasons and a persisted selection record.
Put research before idea generation.
Shortlisted opportunities received their own pain-point research before scoring, with the retained evidence carried into concept generation.
Made opportunity scoring builder-specific.
Added GitHub and profile context so opportunity ranking could account for the builder's existing work, strengths and durable preferences.
Built IYforge's opportunity swarm.
Connected scouting, builder context, specialist scoring and concept generation into one hackathon-selection pipeline.
